Guidelines and Instructions for Special/Supplement Issue

We welcome the proposals for creating special issues that fall within the scope of the Journal. The proposal for the special Issues (Themed Issues or Conference Proceedings) need to be submitted to the Chief Editor at contact@neptjournal.com. The proposal should have the details like the topic or theme of the SI, proposed review process, potential contributors, tentative deadlines for submission and review process (Timeline for submission, review, and final acceptance).

The proposal should have included the details of the Guest Editor(s), their affiliations, institution home page etc. The guest editor should be an expert in the proposed topic of the SI.

Every author must submit a declaration of competing interests and a signed Author’s certificate (format will be provided by the journal) while submitting the article.

The special issue papers must be reviewed by two independent reviewers and the review report should be submitted with each of the papers. The final decision will be of the Chief Editor of the journal, whether to accept/reject the paper or ask for additional reviewers.

Role of Guest Editor(s)

1. Invites authors to submit papers that are relevant to the special issue, and works with the journal's editorial team to select papers that meet the quality standards and guidelines of the journal.
2. Takes care to maintain geographic diversity in the papers included in the Special Issue.
3. Responsible for managing the peer review process for the papers submitted to the special issue. This involves selecting suitable reviewers, ensuring timely reviews, and making editorial decisions based on the reviews.
4. Work with authors to revise and improve their papers based on the feedback from the peer reviewers. The guest editor may also edit papers for grammar, style, and clarity.
5. Prepare a timeline and schedule for the release of special issue articles. This should include a timeline for manuscript preparation, review process, and final submission.
6. Write a short editorial for the special issue, which provides an overview of the theme and scope of the special issue, highlights the main contributions of the papers included in the issue, and identifies future research directions.
